In Post & Beam solutions, the precast is typically introduced in the project to save time and some cost. The precast beams and columns are designed to emulate the performance characteristics of their cast-in-place equivalents in every regard. They are brought to the construction site and erected in one continious move-on. When complete, the core structure is in place, awaiting the post-tensioned flooring system to be formed and cast.
