The
desire to incorporate brick in a façade on a wide range of
structures, from parking structures to retail facilities, continues
to increase. With greater design flexibility demanded by architects,
engineers and owners for brick-clad structures, precast allows an
efficient, cost effective, structurally sound and weather tight
alternative.
First a brick type is selected — note the variety in color,
texture, and depth of available bricks.
The Bricks are set in the trap as per the designer's specifications.
The trap is re-enforced and the concrete cast behind.
Once set, the face is sandblasted and distressed to suit.
The finished Replicated Brick Panel — indistinguishable
from hand-mortared brick.
